Saltworks Catering is committed to serving its clients only the freshest, best prepared food. We are the Lowcountry’s premier catering company and offer a fully DHEC-certified mobile kitchen. Our mobile kitchen has all of the capabilities one would expect to find in a five star restaurant in Downtown Charleston. From slow-roasted prime rib to delicately seared scallops, there is no dish we cannot prepare fresh, and on-site. Owner Mark Welker thoughtfully designed this kitchen based on over 30 years of experience working in restaurants. From the saute and grill stations to the prep area, the kitchen flows as any chef would expect it to – in the most efficient manner possible.

Mark’s custom-designed kitchen isn’t just designed to be efficient for food preparation. It is designed for easy workflow. Our “kitchen on wheels” allows us to offer variety and customization.

Saltworks’ mobile kitchen allows us to guarantee timeliness and meet multiple deadlines in one day. With the food storage refrigerators located at the rear by the large double doors, the entire food inventory can be changed out in minutes, giving Saltworks Catering the capability to quickly change gears from one unique catering event to the next. This translates into being able to offer shorter time intervals, potentially lowering our client’s catering budget. Some highlights of our mobile catering kitchen include:

• DHEC Certification- Our Mount Pleasant based catering company is one of only a handful of catering companies in the Charleston SC area to offer a DHEC certified mobile kitchen. This means both our process and our equipment meet all DHEC safety guidelines. Our kitchen is clean, our food fresh, and our faces full of smiles.

• Fresh, On-Site Preperation- Perhaps the most important part of Saltworks Catering Co. is our ability to serve freshly prepared food. If your catering menu includes salmon, for instance, it is cooked perfectly, and timed for delivery to your table. Our food is served at the peak of freshness, just as our clients deserve.
